This is my first time on this site and was wondering where to begin. I have noticed my hair thinning for about 2 years now. Who would be the best person to see? A dermatologist? A different type of doctor? Please point me in the right direction. |

Go to an endocrinologist. They know about hormones. |

You should see a dermatologist, specifically one who specializes in women's hairloss. That doctor will/should run several blood tests. But, be sure to get copies of all of your blood work with the "normal" ranges included. You can post your results at this website and the wonderful ladies here will help you determine if they really are normal. These "normal" ranges may not be normal for you. Depending on what you doctor tells you about your hairloss, then go tho that forum at this site. For example, if the doc tells you your hair loss is due to low ferritin (iron), then go to the anemia forum at this site for any questions you have. Good luck! |
