Hi Sadie,
Marvelon is the same as Desogen, which is one of the least androgenic pills on the market. It is considered 'hair-friendly,' but everyone responds differently to these pills and there is no surefire thing. I was on it a few months, and I noticed less hair in the unwanted regions (down below.) I wasn't on it for long enough for me to notice a 'for sure' benefit to my scalp hair - I switched to Ortho Cyclen after only 4 months on desogen, and then I ditched the pill altogether a few months later. Very dumb move. Hairwise, I think I was just starting to see a benefit, and the subsequent dread shed from going off the pill, left me with less hair than ever.
If I go back on the pill again I will either go on Desogen or Ortho Cyclen.
