Anyone with bad experiences of Avodart ? (Propecia, Finasteride for Women)

Hello all
Just curious, there are a number of you on this site that have started on avodart. It seems to be that i hear more good than bad news about this drug. Has anyone had any bad experience. Any of you have any further progress info on a positive note.
many thanks

Anyone with bad experiences of Avodart ?

Hi,

I've only been on Avodart about a month and so far, no bad news. I'll give it a year.

Hi, Did you notice an increase in shedding since you've been on Avodart?

No I haven't notice any increase yet. However, it's probably too soon. I expect I might have some increase as the hairs in certain phases stop their phase and fall out due to the Avodart/Rogain; HOWEVER, then the drug benefits are supposed to kick in. I read a great description of how this works somewhere, shame I don't remember where. The shed is very understandable if you understand the mechanics of how the drug works.

Avodart is not approved by FDA for treatment of hair loss even in men. But a few studies have been done with avodart and has been found to be very effective in treating hair loss.

As far as the side effects are concerned in women, pregnant women and those are planning to conceive should not use it as it may affect the growing fetus. They should not even handle the medications.
