Stop the thyroid madness. I just googled it and it's still up though so I guess it's ok. Perhaps the forums are no longer running.

The forum just got too busy and some of the mods wanted out so it is shut down but you can still access all the old info. Deborah Sue from STTM has a site up and running now at www.realthyroidhelp.com and you will find lots of the old STTM people on there already. I'm hypo with adrenal fatigue and don't know what I would do without their help.

Question for Deb |
Hi Deb...What tests or procedures did you undergo to determine adrenal fatigue? I've heard that it's often linked (caused by or the cause of) hypothyroidism but I've never been tested for it. How is your treatment going? Take care....FG

Hi,
I was diagnosed with a 24 hr urine but have since learned that a 24 hr saliva is the best way to be tested. AF and hypo does go hand in hand alot of the time. For me, I think my three years of untreated hypo and I was working a very physical job very sick from the hypo caused the AF.
The treatment has been a slow and frustrating process. The medical institute that finally diagnosed the AF put me on 10mgs of cortisone as treatment and I stayed on that amount for 18 months with little improvement. They wouldn't raise me any higher. I found the STTM site and started self treating and have raised my dosage up to 20mgs and doing some better. Still a process of ups and downs but overall better.
You can order your own saliva tests if you can't find a doc to do it. The cheapest place is supposed to be www.canaryclub.com.

Sorry, I really don't know much about that particular test. Are you having any AF symptoms? You can check out www.realthyroidhelp.com and post your labs and ask questions there, lots of great people to help out.
