I have been enquiring about bio identical hormones and were told by the clinic that they can help with hormonal hairloss and promote regrowth. I guess once your hormones are back in balance it only makes sense for your hair to improve?

I've got an Endo appt at the beginning of October. I'm going to ask her about them. I'll let you all know what I find out. I'm very happy I have finally got an appointment. I do think hormones play a huge role in our hair issues. I never had hair issues before and now that I'm in my mid-forties I have them. It's all peri related, I'm sure. My ferritin is up now..I think it still is. I don't take iron everyday. Only a few times a week now. But last checked my ferritin was 119! It went from 43 in March to 119 in August. I'm just starting to notice my hair filling in again after my stupid dye job back in July. I can't believe I've been dealing with this for over a year now. Ick!!

Lisa..

I simply took SloFe once a day with Vit C and Lysine. I increased my red meat intake and on once in while took blackstrap molasses. I've read that it may take 3 months to a year once your levels get above 70 before you see any solid re-growth. Although, the verdict is still out on this. If you have hormone issues it may take longer. I know there are a few to report success once they got their ferritin levels up and kept them there. I've noticed that the texture of my hair has changed for the better. It's starting to feel like my old hair again. I've added the supplement Pumpkin Seed Oil and I'm not sure if that is what has brought these positive changes. I've read that Pumpkin Seed Oil is a good anti-androgen. So who knows?
