Thyroid issues (Hair & Scalp Odor Problem) |
I just realized something. I noticed about a month ago that I needed to start using the Jason Dandruff exclusively for about a month once again. I just realized something. I have hypothyroid problems and take a supplement of levothroxin daily. I go every 6 months for a check to make sure my levels are good. Last month I went in and found I needed to lower my dose. I wonder if this is why I had to increase my Jason Dandruff shampooing??? Like the over active thyroid was increasing my oil secretions which was causing the scalp issue? Anyway, I blamed it on using the Ligett's Shampoo bar instead of my usual Aubrey or Jason...maybe it was the thyroid? I'm thinking this could be the cause of the problem last month. |

Thyroid problems are also hormonal. That was one of the things checked when I went to the doctor about the smells. It definitely affects the way your hair grows and the oil on your scalp. Mine was normal, but that is probably what is causing your scalp issue. My problem was obviously being on synthetic female hormones. |

Nope, I would never ditch Jason. That is the ONLY shampoo that helps my scalp. It feels fairly normal now so I have been using Aubrey Organics and it feels very good. I used Jason Dandruff for a month and it took care of the problem. |
