	For anyone having taken finasteride or spiro I was wondering if you had to raise the dose and if so how long before you did? I am on 2.5 mg of fin. ( been on 8 weeks) and 100mg spiro.(3 weeks only) Also, does anyone know how long it takes for the full affect of spiro to take place in your body? Finasteride's results do level off for some people, but usually that doesn't happen until 2-3 years later. Some increase the dose after 2-3 years when they notice that the results level off. 	Salis, Dont remember what I wrote already but I started the spiro on Dec. 13th because my scalp got so oily. Have been on fin now for 7 weeks. Actually I posted last week and was feeling pretty good about my hair slowing from 180+ each to 130 and then down to the 80's Dec. 20th to Jan. 1st. All of a sudden it has been 90 a day and 190 the next. I dont get it. Last two days 190. I cant really get any feel for what is changing it again but I did start my prometrium on Dec. 30th and I have not had my period yet which should happen today. Ive heard it said that the progesterone isnt the cause of hair loss but for me, many of the times my hair shed begins to rise is when I take progesterone however on days 1-12 of the month and that is not the correct time that a woman with a regular cycle would have higher progesterone. Since I am in peri, everything is going wacko so I dont know if I can really expect to see it get much better unless my body decides to settle down. Since Ive only been on the spiro 100mg for 3 weeks Im not sure that was the cause of helping it slow down, especially since it started up again. However, I had some burning in the very back of my part and after taking the spiro, it has subsided along with the oily scalp. I have those small itchy feelings in my head still, not sure what causes those and sometime I lose hairs after that itch. I did notice being dehydrated at first and when I work out I make sure I drink extra water. Other than that I havent really noticed problems from taking it yet. What luck have you had with the finasteride? If your scalp is oily the spiro will help cut that. Honestly my hair looks pretty crappy to me and as all of us are, Im worn out of the daily wash and having to carry on with a regular lifestyle.
