Hi everyone.

I am considering flying out to Dallas to see Dr. Whiting. Has anyone ever seen him, and if so, would you be willing to have a convo with me about it?

I saw Dr Whiting 3 years ago. Charges $500, doesn't take insurance. Bad, bad listener (could be because he's very old--maybe in his 80's and extremely hard of hearing).

He did a biopsy. 2 weeks later, his nurse called to tell me I had "diffuse alopecia" and to use Rogaine.

(Whiting has been involved in several published Rogaine studies and appears to have some kind of affilitation with the company.)

It took several phone calls and letters to get the written report of my biopsy results. Very technical, with no diagnosis.

A total waste of time and money. If you're in NY, you should try Dr Redmond first.
