question (Propecia, Finasteride for Women)

Does anyone know if spiro is usually successful in treating PCOS related hairloss? (Or had their own success) I just started on it 9wks ago and afraid it wont work, but thats just me.

I wouldnt be so worried. You said your hair had barely thinned. You are getting good treatment. Do not fear :)YOu are better off than most of us, at least you have an actual medical problem causing your hairloss that can be treated for sure.

If you cannot see any scalp then you are not thin. Look at the Ludwig scale. No scalp is normal. I part my hair in the middle and you can see my scalp showing through about 1/12 inches wide, not Bald, but see through. also if I part my hear anywhere else, there are visable parts everywhere.

I guess my hair has just thinned out because it used to be alot thicker :( Im hoping it will grow back. Its only been a little over year since I started actually "loosing hair". So Im hoping I have a good chance

Well, when people get older their hair gets a little thinner and I think that is normal. Its RARE to have the same head of hair you had when you were in your teens-20's. Maybe your hair loss is just normal and will not pregress. I wish that I hadnt started worrying so early when I didnt really have to! Celebrate that your hair loss is not noticeable, even to you. :)

But it is noticeable to me and im only 28. And hairloss does NOT run in my family, I mean all the men are just receded a little and some even have a full head of hair.
I have high testosterone and Im sure thats whats causing it as does my Dr. I have irregular periods and even face hair...yuk

OH, I apologize. I thought you said it isnt noticeable to even you yet.
I have been getting some dark chin hairs since my late 20's and my sisters and mom have them worse, but no hair loss...I am the lucky one..
