I haven't given up hope quite yet. I am still working on my iron levels, getting my t4 and t3 at an optimal level and I am still addressing my adrenal glands. I have good insurance as you can tell. Are there really realistic comfortable wigs out there if you are willing to spend the money? I was just thinking before my hair gets too uncomfortable, what about just cutting it all off, wear a scarf at home and having a realistic looking wig when I go out. I am just tired of counting, Doctors, lab work and driving everyone icluding myself crazy. My day is so much effected by my hope for my hair. What if the burden was over and not because a doctor says so but because I say it is. It feels good just to think that way. I like everything else about me! I will still keep everyone updated. Cytamel worked great for a about 3 months and estrogin patches for about 3 months. Alot of the meds I cannot tolorate because of dizziness which keeps me from fuctioning normally throughout the day. My question again are there good wigs? |

You don't have to wear a wig if you have enough bio hair for a topper. I've been wearing a clip-on piece for over a year now. But, yes, there are very nice wigs out there. There's a great wig support group at msn.com--you might want to check that out to see if someone could recommend a place in your area. |
