what does it mean if you shed on your crown? good, bad or what?

Honestly, not good. However I will say the very back where part begins or as you may be calling it the crown is where I lost hair first and the last to grow in. The front half of my hair has been filling in first. The other has not caught up completely yet.

Yes it is growing in. I am not on Avodart but 200mg spiro and 5mg finasteride together daily. Im also on estrogen or HRT. How long have you been on Avodart? It could be an Avodart shed that will improve later.

i was on it two week daily. than i stopped. because i got wrinkles under my eyes. and i was off 3 weeks now im back on. but just twice a week. and my skin is not dry.

perhaps because im slim, and 0.5 daily was just to much for my body. and i also take 400mg spiro/daily.

do you have any wrinkle from fina?

nICE

You're probably getting the wrinkles from the Spiro and not the Avodart. Spiro is a diuretic and you're probably just seeing some lines bc you need more water in your system. It's not likely that any drug is going to cause wrinkles in two weeks. Do you sit in the sun or smoke?

oh no. i dont smoke and i dont sit on the sun. ;-)

iVE been on spiro almost two yeras and i had never ever had this.
its avodart.

i've read some horror stories about this. avodart does couse wrinkle.

I will say that when I drink less water my skin looks worse. However, my skin is not any worse since spiro, yet. Ive had the skin issues for a few years anyway and I dont think the menopause has helped it either:o))) Im not going to blame it on spiro though. All I can say is drink more water and see how it goes. I dont want more wrinkles but I do want my hair so I dont feel like I have any other choice at this point. Also Nice, I dont think you can go on and off the meds and get success as you know from reading it takes time to see you hair grow back even after it stops falling out.

I have a question. I just started advodart (0.5mg). I was on spirolactone. Should I be taking both? Also, is 0.5mg enough? I have heard of women taking 2.5mg. Why is it necessary to take advodart and spirolactone? Doesn't advodart have an anti-andorgen aspect as well?

I thought the 2.5mg was mainly for finasteride. I thought that was very high for Avodart. I'll have to look that up.

Finasteride is available in 1 mg and 5 mg strengths. Either 1 mg or 2.5 mg strength is generally used.

Dutasteride is available in 0.5 and 1 mg strengths.
