red face due to spiro! (Spironolactone, Aldactone) |
Has anyone noticed after taking aldactone that they their faces turn bright red & become very hot whenever it gets hot like in a heated room or after aeven mild exercise?? The doctors think it might be rosacea but i've never had it & it was only after taking spiro that this all started. I also can no longer stand heat i feel like i'm in a microwave which shouldn't happen beacuse i lived in a hot climate for 10 years and never had any problem until now. I'm comcerned cause i took roaccutane at high levels twice & it ended up killing 80% of my oil glands. Has anyone else's faces since taking spiro get red whenever you get warm?? Thanxs...... |

Ive never noticed this and Ive been on 200mg since Feb. Of course it effects everyone differently. I try to drink more water. Your blood pressure is generally lower on spiro so the red face should not be from blodd pressure rising. Maybe give it some more time or see how it affects you in the fall and winter. Definitely drink more water as it most likely will help. |

»yes i had a red face for a while, when exposed to the weather, ie. when out walking. I also had a rash on my face. I thought I was going to have to give up the spiro but then my body must have adjusted because it was only a temporary problem and went away very quickly. |
