	I went to see a naturopath because I was making no progress on the hair front. I have been seeing him for over a year. He has fixed almost every health problem I had, except the hair. DOn't get me wrong now, he fixed my ferritin level, that I couldn't get higher despite my OBGYN and her iron supplements. And there is regrowth on the sides, and in the hairline, a lot. But on the top, maybe only 10-20 new hairs that I can see. So he did a salivary test for hormones. And says I have low DHEA and low testosterone. And I am on spironolactone to lower the testosterone, so I don't know if I should be on it or not. He says to ask my doc to lower it, but I wonder if it is doing anything at all to help, or is just making things worse. Any ideas? 	Hi Samantha, I am on the verge of giving up on my hairloss which started when I was 22. I'm now 30 and severely depressed. I've totally lost my confidence. I have a a continuous problem with low ferritin. I would love to go to a naturopath but simply can't afford it. Can you please share with me how he fixed your ferritin problem. 	I haven't been on this forum for a long time but use to post regularly in the belief that I had TE due to low ferritin. Well, I did have very low ferritin, but what I've also discovered in the last 6 months is that along side this I had fibromyalgia and more significantly a form of lupus, which no doubt has been the cause of my on/off hair loss over the years. I just thought I would post this as it might be an avenue that any ladies who have been experiencing hair loss for a number of years might wish their doctors to explore and at least cross off the list. My uncle went to mexico and received a treatment of massage scalp therapy with chili and low level laser and received some regrowth. So I found a practice in OC and he disregarded the chili peppers as inconclusive. However studies from massage therapy with DHT Blockers and low level laser therapys have been very conclusive in many studies so I signed up for the 6 month program. I was very surprised that my thinning hair became thicker and healthier in three months and my before and after pictures were very dramatic. I haven't had fabulous success, but I do have some regrowth on the sides.
