Buspar? (Anti-depressants & Hair Loss)

Hi there:
I have been reading all about how some of you have had bad experiences with antidepressants and although it looks like a couple of people may have not had hair loss on a certain antidepressant, it makes me nervous to try one. Plus, I don't really feel that I am depressed (although hair loss is the worst!!!) but do need something to calm my jangled nerves (especially on days I wash my hair). Has anyone heard of Buspar? My physician prescribed it instead of an antidepressant. Anyone had any good or bad experiences with it? I believe it is like an antianxiety drug although she said it is different from Valium or Ativan.

Buspar is buspirone which is used to treat anxiety.
It does not seem to cause hair loss
