I read on about a 19 year old that went to see Dr Price. She said that the doctor was extremely RUDE and MEAN and when the poor girl started crying to her about being diagnosed with AGA she said "Grow up"!! You must go read her story! Dr Price also told her to use Rogaine 2% and thats ALL she could offer!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOW I actually had a referal from Dr. sent to go and see her! OMG..maybe not! Thanks so much for the info! Although I don't have aga so it may be different in my case.

If you have PCOS you definitely don't want to go to her she's a dermatologist not an endocrinologist, that's who should be treating a PCOS in conjunction with your gynecologist.

You clearly have a diagnos of PCOS so even though you have hairloss your focus should be with an endo and no other hair "doctor" There is a clear-cut and straight forward medical approach with PCOS - as well as some alternative ways in which to get your hormones and insulin in check. Have you signed up on a PCOS support forum? MY fried belongs to one and said it is very helpful (although she has no hair issues)

I wouldn't treat PCOS hairloss the ame as AGA.

I have signed up with a PCOS support forum..which has been helpful. Looks like my main focus is getting my testoterone in check and the hair issue should resolve. Thanks!

I saw her when I first experience hair lost around 5 years ago. What a waste of $400. She was very cold and the only thing that she recommended was Rogaine. I paid money to hear that I do have AGA and need Rogaine? I didn't need to see her for that. To make things worse, she had two students in the room shadowing her. This was embarrasing enough...I didn't need two people my own age scrutinizing me. Waste of money and waste of time. I should have gone to an endocrinologist instead (I have PCOS).

If you can get an appointment with Dr. Price, you are very lucky.
She is excellent. She is the sweetest kindest doctor you will ever see.
I went to her for hair loss and before I went I read about her on line and read a couple of bad reviews and thought oh great. But she is awesome.

I have figured out why the 2 women who saw her have complained... she sees the worst of the worst hair loss cases.

When some young women comes in to her bc she is complaining about hair loss and Dr. Price examines this person and finds the lady has lost all of 2 hairs, I see her discounting this person pretty quickly and then the patient is upset bc she wasn't taken seriously.

If you have a true medical hair loss she will be so kind and considerate.
If you go to her with a little cosmetic issue like your hair isn't thick enough I am sure she blows you off.
She is very involved with the alopecia foundation, she has written books and still teaches.
I am just a patient who went to her and I drove 4 hours to get to her, she was worth it. She will tell you the truth, she will not put you through a bunch of tests. She can look at your hair loss and in minutes tell you what is going on.

But do not go whining to her bc you don't like your hair, if you think you have a real medical hair loss she will treat you right.
Consider yourself lucky if you have an appointment with her before she retires. She is the most well informed person in the world on hair loss.

I thought she was so amazing that I decided to go on line and give another take on her. How unfair these reviews are.
