ť For 3 years i've been given the run around by Dr Hugh Rushton that my
ť thinning hair was down to low iron alone. After having browsed him for the
ť last few months like a maniac, i have discovered from a few sites (this and
ť Keratin particularly) that he puts hair loss in women down to iron alone. I
ť then browsed for studies on low iron and hair loss (other than his own of
ť course). Although iron can "contribute" to hair loss, it isnt the sole
ť "cause" of hair loss, and it seems that this conclusion isnt well
ť documented on general web browses concerning hair loss, hence why many
ť women just go along with the "low ferritin theory".

ť As my hair got progressively thinner, and i hit rock bottom a couple of
ť months back, I demanded my dermatologist refer me to another Dermatologist
ť (instead of Hugh Rushton, a Trichologist, and not a great one at that imo)
ť who specialises in hair loss: Dr Fenton. This Derm has diagnosed me with
ť AGA after a scalp biopsy showed i am shedding on the top and sides at a
ť rate of 6 times more than my lower back, thus showing a female pattern of
ť baldness.

ť Dr Fenton was far more understanding and empathetic to my hair loss. He
ť didnt put down my thinning to being "all in my hand" or "paranoia", like
ť Hugh Rushton did. However, in my last appointment with him, I found that I
ť was being hurried along . Considering we, in the UK, whether we have
ť private cover or not, are paying these guys some 1-200 pounds for 30
ť minutes, it really peeves me off that one isnt comforable about their
ť situation when they leave the consultation room.

ť Anyone else felt like this? That no one can understand? This is the reason
ť why i've ended up on websites searching for others who actually
ť understand!!!!

ť Dr Fenton costs Ł250 for 30 minutes!

Oh yest forgot to add, Dr Rushton always went on about all these women that come to see him and who are always very anxious about their hair loss and his pull tests always show year after year that they're arent any changes. What a monkey. That's exactly the patronising information he always gave me and my hair has got worse. Saw him twice and that was enough to make me very angry. How dare he play with people like that and charge them for it. aaaaaaahhhhhhh
