I definitely agree with that I mean even people who suffer from eating disorders don't always have thinning hair. But, at the same time, you don't know how much thicker their hair would be if they did have iron in their diet. My hair got quite a bit thick when a few years back I was eating beef all the time. I think that lack of iron may not always be the cause for hair loss but it may help your hair in general, especially with recovering from anything - know what I mean?

Fenton told me to go on Ferrograd C too but I found that didn't help as much as taking iron and vitamin C separately - I got it up from 40 to 125 in four months, it was 24 when the shedding started.

I don't think you need to see Dr Rushton again either especially if he doesn't agree that your hair is shedding.

Good luck with the endo if you decide to go and see them.

ť I'm not too convinced on the theory of "low iron = hair loss", as someone
ť said on this forum that those in lesser developed countries, with hardly
ť anything to eat, manage to retain a lush of hair! Also, I said to one derm
ť that a lack of iron isnt the cause of hair loss alone, though it might
ť contribute to it, and so i dont see the need to go to Dr Rushton again.
ť This derm agreed with me.
