ť 324 mg of Ferrous Gluconate is equivalent to 38 mg of iron. Ferrous
ť gluconate is a form of iron; one that is highly absorbed. Take no more
ť than 15mg of zinc on top of what's in your multi. I still recommend
ť having your zinc levels tested first; it's never good to self-supplement
ť particularly with individual vitamins & minerals as they are so delicately
ť balance...i.e. zinc & copper compete for the same transport protein, and
ť which ever is present in the highest concentration, will be absorbed
ť first, potentially leading to an excess of one and a deficiency of the
ť other. Remember also, that hair loss can result from either too much or
ť too little zinc. Please check with your physician before grasping at
ť straws. Believe when I say I know how you feel. I just don't want you to
ť make things worse. You really need to have the proper lab work done and
ť get some kind of diagnosis Gina.

Thanks Deb! One question, though --I am taking iron (ferrous gluconate based) and my label only reads "iron (from ferrous gluconate) - 27mg - 150% RDA" Your explanation doesn't fit with the labels I am reading. What brand do you use?
