Why can't we get diane in the US? (Cyproterone Acetate (Diane35))

V - are you comfortable with the generic version?

When i started Dianette last month my GP gave my a prescription for something else (generic name i cant remember...cypromol or something). I queried the generic versions ingredients with Dianette. Although they were the same, i wasnt comfortable with the generic. The Pharmacist didnt make a fuss about the differences but said generics arent always as good as the original version. So, i went back next door to my GP and said i want dianette. He said i can only give you that privately (in the UK now Dianette isnt being made available on the NHS so readily) - in the end, i paid for it.

Do you have a view on generic versions of medication? I wonder if anyone would say the same for Kirklands Minoxidil, being a generic of Regaine?
