Hyperthyroid (Thyroid Conditions & Hair Loss)
Well you definitely need to see an endo about the hyper issue. Do you have any of the other symptoms besides hair loss? I would wait to see the endo, because, you may need to be treated and a regular MD isn't going to be able to do that.
I would also get that ferritin up (under the supervision of a MD). You could try adding l-lysine when you take your iron and/or vitamins and perhaps taking it with vitamin C. some women have had good luck with blackstrap molasses.
It could still be the surgery, even though it has never happened to you before.
I know how how hard it is, but I bet that your endo will be able to give you some answers. Also perhaps you could see a nutrionist about your gluten issus?
Just hang in there and I bet you will get some answers soon!
