Hey Delilah, I really can't say (again, I'm not a doctor, I'm simply theorizing from what I've read), except that at some point your body may not tolerate being ping-ponged back and forth so will stop following the "rules" that the drugs create. I see what you mean about adding E to counteract possible RH on Avodart, but how do you know how much E to add and if it is directly counteractng the effects of Avodart? The female AGA pathways are so complex.

Fashiongirl just posted an excerpt about upregulation in the AGA board which from description sounds exactly like what I'm trying to say about RH. It seems to me Avodart has more of this potential relative to other antiandrogens because at steady-state it blocks almost all (94%) of one's DHT. It certainly does not happen everyone, though. I know a couple of women on it who haven't experienced anything of the sort. But for women like me whose 5AR is very low-to-undetectable it may not be the best thing to push something that's barely there into the ground.

I really wish I knew without having to try it.....
