Hi D and eb...First eb, yes you are right: the "upregulation" I spoke of is exactly like what you are describing. The body strives for homeostasis and this is why the reflex hyperandrogenicity/upregulation can occur, but as you pointed out, is more the exception than the rule, especially in the beginning of the treatment. From what I've read, the occurrence is more likely to take place as time goes on and the body "adjusts" to the meds and strives for its natural homeostasis. Delilah, like you, I know someone (my mom, in fact) who is also on the HRT (E) and Propecia and her hormonally-triggered hl (very slight and it didn't present till she was 62-years-old; she's now 66)has not worsened at all; it's either been in a holding pattern or even slightly improved.
