hormones out of kilter....information (Accutane or Medications Induced Hair Loss)
hello all
just wanted to share some info with you. I've basically been going to accupuncture to try and regulate my cycles. Going back, I was recommended by one endo to take progesterone cream as my progesterone levels are historically been on the low side. I took this for the last 10 days of my cycle for about three months on the trot. As a result I end up getting 3 periods in the period of over a month. My GP said stop the progesterone so I did. During this time I was also coming off cypertrone acetate and was taking about a quarter of a pill then before I finally finished (as didnt seem to be doing anything for me). Went to accupuncturist to try and regulate periods. Was told to monitor my body temperatures on rising every morning. Have been doing this for three months. Today had an appointment and was told by one of the accupuncturists (whom i dont have normally) that by looking at my temperatures she saw that on one month my temperature although all over the place was over all too high. She explained that there was no sign of ovulation and that if temperature is generally too high then it means that there is not enough estrogen as estrogen brings the body temp down. She looked at this months and basically said that my body temp again was inconsistent and said that this is a result of estrogen and progesterone being out of kilt. She said there was no obvious pattern of ovulation and actually called my temperatures amazing. She looked quite interested and stunned by it all. My derms dont take any notice of that. The last endo i saw thought my hormal results were fine. My last two periods which lasted for 3 days were incredibly light. No real bleeding. ive been on finasteride the last 6 weeks but had these results before i started on it. Initially i was aware that the cypertrone acetate can block estrogen production so thought when i come of it my estrogen may again increase. Has any body got any comments of similar experiences or information. When I had regular periods in the past i was still losing hair, so not too sure whats going on really. Much appreciated if you have any comments
thanks
