Discontinuing Wellbutrin & Shedding (Anti-depressants & Hair Loss)

My hair loss started when I went on Wellbutrin and came off SSRI but that was accompanied by a 30 pound weight loss (Hurray!). Initially I attributed the hair loss to the weight change. My hair seemed to stop shedding and begin to grow back within 1-2 months after my weight stabilized. Shortly after that, however, the hair loss picked up again. It's been very hard to tease out the cause because I'm also perimenopausal. I saw a few doctors who were very quick to chalk my problem up to hormones but neither of them had ever heard of Wellbutrin causing loss, so I'm taking what they say with a grain of salt.

I did go off Wellbutrin and didn't notice a significant difference but I only stayed off for about a month. Unfortunately the Wellbutrin seems to be great for my depression but the hair loss isn't. Sorry if this has been asked already - I've read a lot of entries but couldn't make it through all of them. How long might it take for shedding to stop after discontinuing the Wellbutrin? I figure I'll give it a try (with my MD's knowledge) but may well want to hop back on if it doesn't seem to affect my hair.
