Can someone help me understand my shocking hair loss? (Cyproterone Acetate (Diane35))
I don't know if this can help you but....
Everytime I take a bcp I have severe signs of insulin resistance (fast heart beat, feeling flushed/sick after a meal, dizzy etc)... I'm wondering if you need to take a medication such as metformin to regulate your blood sugar levels. Insulin resistance and extreme fluctations in blood sugar can cause hair loss so maybe that is what is causing your hair loss at the moment. Stress can make your blood sugar worse...
You can't test insulin resistance on a normal blood test (i.e morning blood sugar or your A1C). The only way you can test it is by drinking a sugary drink and than testing your insulin levels every hour after the drink for 4 hours.... you need to do this at a lab...
All my blood sugar test are prefect on a normal lab test but I have insulin resistance via the glucose tolerance test.
