Sclap pull test results (Cyproterone Acetate (Diane35))

So, since my last Derm appointment (last Weds) where he yanked clumps of hair out of my scalp to see the percentage of hair loss, i now have them results.

In July 2007 my scalp loss was 18% on top, and 3% on the lower back.

Now it is 4% on top and 4% on the lower back.

I should be chuffed, right? This is apparently normal hair cycle growth. However, given we both agreed there has been further thinning on the dianette, he still said he'd prefer it if i went back on it and his explanation was this: that my hair cycle has "corrected itself" since being on the pill, however, the thinning and miniturisation (reduction in density as he put it) i experienced (and still am) whilst on the pill is the female patterned hair loss which will continue in any event.

His solution, again: dianette and minoxidil. I said im happy to stay OFF dianette and will continue with the Regaine stimulant.

Maybe dianette just synchronised all the hair. Anyway, after reading hwo this pill shuts off your normal supply of hormones, im not taking any more chances. Extensions appointment has been booked for mid-January!!!

Oh, and he did say expect more loss in 4-6 weeks since stopping the pill. I thought it was 4-6 months and onwards. Hmmmm.
