New Diagnosis! (Menopause, Peri-menopause & Hair Loss)

ť Had an appointment with a dermatalogist at MT Sinai last Friday and he
ť stated that my problem is definately NOT alopecia. He indicated TE,
ť probably triggerd by foot surgery last October. He injected a high B
ť supplement, and put me on Folic Acid and B6.
ť During the past week I have noticed a decline in shedding (approx half of
ť what it was 2 weeks ago) and less pain on my scalp. He suggested I
ť continue with Minoxidil and HRT, and see him next week.
ť What a relief!! If I continued with just Minoxidil that the original derm
ť prescribed, I would have needed a wig by this summer :crying: . What a
ť jerk he turned out to be :angry:
ť This man is a jewel (92 yrs old and kinda shaky), but he KNOWS his stuff.
ť His name is Irwin Kantor at Mt Sinai in NYC if anyone is interested. :ok:

I had my gallbladder removed December 06, and a month or so later noticed rapid hair loss (though i experienced hair loss before it too). However, things have just gotten downhill since.
