Update on hair loss (Menopause, Peri-menopause & Hair Loss)

Agh- my last post just disappeared so I'll make this quick.

I used a progesterone replacement, did not replace estrogen at this time. The hair loss has decreased and the shed remains on the low side. I think the top is getting thicker and feels more dense to me. The temple is for some reason very resistant to growing hair quickly. I have regrowth there but it is so darn slow growing in. My hair stylist said the temple is the first place she sees women lose when they go through a pregnancy. Would love to see this area grow faster. THere is some strange connection with the temple area and hormones!

Still using natural shampoo or DHT inhibiting shampoo, or a shampoo to stimulate growth. Backed off on iron for a bit while I wait for my labs to show the ferritin level.

Cut my hair and let my stylist thin it a bit which freaked me out. Still looks ok, had no hair loss with style and blow dry. No tangles, easy to comb out so I felt better during the hair cutting process.

I am crossing my fingers I get plenty of regrowth and should have a better idea by late spring or early summer how much I caught up with growth.

It took a while to find a solution but this seems to be offering some relief for me and my anxiety over my hair is much improved.
