Update on hair loss (Menopause, Peri-menopause & Hair Loss)

ť ťcan I ask how old you are, and how did you find out that you needed HRT? I
ť am happy that you are finding a solution that so many of us are searching

I saw a lot of doctors, thyroid and hormones were always mentioned as hair loss culprits. I tested since I am close to 50 and am approaching menopause. It makes sense, the hair problems started while in peri (a time when a lot of things can change). It took me a while to realize it probably was hormonal. I pushed for the replacement but it took some time to get it. I saw a specialist in menopause issues, my reg gyn does not seem to know enough about hormones. I had a plan B in place in case this didn't work which was a lower dose HRT (estrogen + progesterone). Which oddly enough, I could get from the reg gyn but not the specialist.
