» » finasteride (for a month)

» » Any advice woudl be great.
»
» A lot also depends on why your doctor put you on Diane35 and Finasteride
» in the first place. Unless you are experiencing massive shed, there is no
» reason to stop the treatments that your doctor recommended. BTW, bear in
» mind that finasteride is recommended for post menopausal women only
» according to most doctors.
»
» Your regimen only addresses the issue of DHT/androgens internally. That's
» not enough in my opinion. Assuming that your hair loss is AGA related, you
» may want to consider a regimen that addresses the following:
»
» 1) Internal Anti-androgen and/or DHT inhibitor to slow down hair loss. For
» example, spiro, finasteride etc.
»
» 2) Topical anti-androgen and/or DHT inhibitor to slow down hair loss such
» as Fluridil or topical spiro.
»
» 3) Topical Growth Stimulant such as minoxidil.
»
» 4) Topical anti-inflammatory such as Nizoral shampoo, Tea Tree Oil or Emu
» Oil shampoo etc depending on your hair condition. Nizoral can act as a
» mild topical anti-androgen too, many people use it once or twice weekly.
»
» You have been on finasteride for only 1 month. That is not enough to
» evaluate the efficacy of the medication. Most people believe that you
» should give it 3-6 months. Finasteride does have a tendency to cause dry
» skin, this may affect your hair quality as a result. Your hair may become
» more brittle than usual, perhaps that's why you feel that your hair looks
» and feels worse than before.
»
» Last but not least, stay away from hair dyes. Most contain very harsh
» chemicals. If you must dye your hair, use a PPD free, ammonia free,
» and peroxide free hair dye.
»
» The above is just my personal opinions. I am not a doctor. Bear in mind
» that there is no one treatment that works for every person. AGA related
» hair loss is very much a hormonal issue. You should ask your doctor about
» altering the medications if you do not see an improvement after some time.
» It's an exercise of trial-and-error.
»
» Whatever you decide to do, please be sure to do that under the supervision
» of your doctor.

Thank you!!!!!
