Alkaline Phosphatase levels (Telogen Effluvium)

As I mentioned before, the tests were done for mortgage purposes - not requested by me due to my hair loss - and so they were looking for anything seriously wrong which might make me a bad bet for a loan. Therefore, HIV, cholesterol etc were obviously important. I think the alkaline phosphatase levels were measured as part of the "bigger" picture, and because high levels can indicate liver disease or suggest alcohol problem. Perhaps the doctor was not concerned about the levels as they were obviously not life-threatening, or would not be suggestive of a real health problem. Perhaps like normal ferritin levels - what is considered "normal" range by a doctor is not enough to help hair growth etc for some people. I did ask the doctor about levels due to question mark put against them, but obviously for this purpose (mortgage) she did not think it was serious or something to be concerned about. Hope this clarifies things.
