I think it's commendable that you've apolgized (any time is a good time to say "sorry".

So I would just leave it at that.

If your female friend is open enough to talk to you about her hair loss issue which has also affected her private area, then perhaps she should be discussing it with a professional or simply join the forum herself.

Not sure why she would look to random a male friend for an answer to a topic of such intimacy when there exists more sensible options. :lookaround:
