ferrochels (Telogen Effluvium)

I used over the counter iron for a while with all the supplements that you are supposed to take with it to help it absorb better... it did not work for me. My level was 13 before I started iron therapy and when they checked it after I was on it for a while it had dropped to 12.

My ob-gyn now has me on Repliva, it is a prescription iron tab that I take in the morning, you take it for 21 days on and 7 off, kind of like a BCP. I have constipation issues also with iron... when I first started the Repliva it was the same old story but it has gotten a bit better lately. I also use a stool softener when I have to... sorry, that may have been TMI... LOL. But I thought I would pass it along.

I know how you feel, it is rough!
