ť ť ť I went to dr redmond and bought the book. He said it could be a
ť hormone
ť ť ť issue. I was on proscar estrogin spiro consistantly for about 3
ť months.

ť ť ť It caused extreme dizziness, so I stopped I tried them individually
ť and
ť ť ť different dosages. I tried topical spiro and birth control. I
ť ť couldn't
ť ť ť stand the dizziness to give it more than 3 months. Now I have
ť chronic
ť ť ť dizziness for the last two years. I have gone to a every doctor and
ť ť the
ť ť ť diagnoses is stress. I am now going to a doctor who is treating my
ť ť ť thyroid and adrenal glands. I have had all the blood work possible.

ť ť ť says it's important get all my levels in a good range to stop the hl
ť ť and
ť ť ť to feel good again. Otherwise I am very healthy. I don't remember
ť dr.
ť ť ť Redmond talking about adrenal difunction. I have said this before the
ť ť only
ť ť ť thing that stopped my hair loss was cytomel for about 3 months and
ť ť estrogin
ť ť ť patches.

ť ť I saw dr. Redmond for the second time last month and specifically asked
ť ť him about adrenal fatigue, because in researching it I have most of the
ť ť symptoms. He told me it doesn't exist and lectured me about research on
ť ť the internet. I also have looked at some medical websites and it seems
ť ť many physicians feel the same way. It's confusing to me because there
ť are
ť ť those out there who treat for it and people feel better for it. Last
ť week
ť ť as a last ditch effort to get my HL and other issues sorted out I went
ť to
ť ť the Mayo clinic, thinking they are experts and I'll get somewhere. All
ť I
ť ť got was an internest who told me organically I was healthy as far as my
ť ť labs show and after an exam. Then he started treating me as if the
ť whole
ť ť issue were "functional"...stemming from my brain. That was because I
ť told
ť ť him how HL and caused a bunch of symptoms related to depression. He
ť spent
ť ť an hour going on and on about placebo studies and blah blah blah and
ť ť really had this attitude like I had no reason to be there. He had set
ť up
ť ť for me to get my TSH and Cortisol tested (again) and see a endo and
ť ť derm...but I decided to end it there. Already seen a few of each of
ť those.
ť ť I asked about being slightly hypothyroid (TSH 3.5) and he said it was
ť ť normal, in range....where as Redmond said I was slightly hypo. I told
ť him
ť ť that Redmond felt my neck and said my thyroid was 3 times the size it
ť ť should be...this guy said it felt normal to him, that I'm just thin with
ť a
ť ť thin neck. So I don't know what to think. I am so sick of having to
ť think
ť ť about it all...that's ALL I DO!! I would just like to hear from someone
ť ť who is convinced Redmond's treatments stopped their hair loss! Many on
ť ť this forum go to him and I haven't heard anyone say they are that much
ť ť better for it.

ť I'm very thin, with a VERY thin neck and Dr. Redmond has felt my neck 3
ť times and never told me that I was slightly hypothyroid or that I needed
ť any thyroid medication. I know of two people that he has treated for it
ť and both of them needed it. I believe that Dr. Redmond goes with the
ť newer range of normal than a lot of internists do.

ť A lot of the websites that can diagnose you with a "new diseases" also
ť sell medicines to cure you of it as well. If they don't sell the
ť medicines they sell the test to dianose yourself.

Well, that makes me feel better. I didn't have much faith in the internest anyway, he was a young guy and very by the book. I guess Redmond was consistant, both times I saw him he said it was enlarged. I agree, I think he's more up on the new range standards. Thanks!
