A little bit of information (Hair & Scalp Odor Problem)
» "A malodorous scalp sounds sci-fi strange, but in reality, it's quite
» common, according to New York City dermatologist Jules Abadi. "The oil
» glands in your scalp can be triggered by stress or hormonal changes to
» produce excess oil. This causes the harmless bacteria that live in your
» skin to proliferate and feed off the oil, which produces a stench."
» Fortunately, eliminating yucky noggin odor is as simple as using a shampoo
» containing oil-reducing agents like sulfur, zinc, or tar. We like Head and
» Shoulders Smooth & Silky 2-in-1, $5.79, and Neutrogena T/Gel, $4.99. If
» your head still reeks after a few weeks, see your dermatologist, who can
» prescribe a stronger topical treatment."
This was actually the first thing that I saw when I started researching this condition. I tried H&S to no avail. It made my head reek of various smells from the ingredients. I didn't try Neutrogena T/Gel, but Neutrogena T/Sal which helped to some extent, but I smelled of citrus because of the citric acid in the ingredients.
