I am definitely convinced that my problem is hormone related. As I said before, the doctor checked my thyroid first to rule out that condition. Betsy, it sounds like your thyroid causes the smell when it goes out of control. My sister also has thyroid problems, so I was wondering if that was my problem, too, but the doctor says my thyroid is normal.

I would guess that many of the problems here have to do with hormones in some way. Rather than seeing a dermatologist, we should seek out endocrinologists...which I will do if this issue continues.
