Yes, back to this thyroid theory. I just realized in thinking about it that when my whole problem started, I had just started a higher dose of the thyroid med and the odor problem started. Although my levels were checking out just fine I am thinking there could have been something about the level I was on that was stimulating over production of oil in my scalp. The Jason Dandruff shampoo seems to have gotten things back on the normal path but this lowering of the thyroid dose seems to have taken me to a different level of control. We shall see...but I do see a connection of the dose and oil production. I can identify with the Jason Dandruff shampoo being a starting point of giving you control over the odor as I believe it brings the yeast and bacteria under control with it's ingredients. And you are right, this is not a sales pitch but merely a testimonial on what worked for me.
I do remember you had some thyroid issues in your family also. Yes, I am inclined to believe there is an endocrine issue involved in this.
