Dr. Reed-Post Visit Info (Doctors & Dermatologists)
Just got back from Dr. Reed. He was super sweet. I mean, if nothing else, I left with an ok taste in my mouth because he was very pleasant. He said that it doesn't seem like I am losing hair so much as the actual hairs are getting much thinner. He prescribed Finasteride 5mg and 6% Minoxidil that he came up with himself. (It only needs to be used before bed and you can wash your hair the next morning. Big plus for me cuz Rogaine was disgusting and I refused to use it) I will try it out and see if its worth the $75/month. I am still waiting to hear if my insurance company will cover the Finasteride...my instincts tell me no. However, thats never stopped me from fighting it as far as I can before so I will keep you posted. And who knows, maybe I will catch a break.
He said that worst case, my hair stays the same. Best case, it gets better. Either way, I feel a teeny bit better. Will keep you posted on progress and insurance garbage.
