ť ť for some reason i couldnt log on to my old account, i think i used the
ť ť same name "shortywcb." anyhoo i feel like i am now able to fully tell

ť ť of my success story.

ť ť i have been losing hair ever since getting off bcp about 4-5 years ago.
ť ť after a couple years of hair loss, i began having terrible cystic acne
ť and
ť ť body hair growth (ie. wispy hairs all along neck, black hairs on upper
ť lip,
ť ť tummy hair, etc.) i used to have perfect skin and now i had to deal
ť with
ť ť not only a balding head in my twenties but now a scarred face and hairy
ť ť body.
ť ť i also suffer from terrible sweating in my armpits, and very oily skin
ť and
ť ť hair.

ť ť i have went to many doctors, done tons of hours of research online, had
ť ť numerous blood tests done, tried every shampoo, pill, u name it--but
ť ť nothing worked. i used spiro by itself for a year and had no success
ť with
ť ť my skin or hair. in fact, the spiro made me have my period 3 weeks of
ť the
ť ť month so i stopped taking it.

ť ť another year went by and i made the desperate decision to start
ť ť orthotricylen
ť ť again but this time paired it with spiro. i hated the idea of getting

ť ť again since that is what i blame my issues on in the first place.

ť ť now, what i am about to tell you is crazy, but after just 4 days--the

ť ť loss all but stopped. my face was perfectly clear in one week. i'm
ť still
ť ť oily and sweaty but not near as much as i was.

ť ť i am on my 7 month of orthotricyclen and spiro now and my success has

ť ť been greater. my hair does not shed anymore. i lose maybe around 10

ť ť day that i actually am aware of. of course, we dont see the hair that

ť ť out normally if we arent paying attention. so i know i lose more than

ť ť most likely but not in an abnormal manner. i used to have to pick it off

ť ť clothes every five seconds, etc.

ť ť i know it is the pill combination that is saving me because when i stop
ť ť the pill each month to take the inactive pills, my hair loss comes back

ť ť so does the acne in a matter of days. therefore, i take the pill
ť ť continuously and do not give myself a break. which also means no
ť period.

ť ť i do have side effects and they are the follwing: cramping, moodiness,
ť ť more
ť ť discharge than normal. however, these side effects are acceptable to me

ť ť considering its that or being bald and have acne.

ť ť another thing i need to note is that though my hairloss and acne are
ť gone,
ť ť i do not see any regrowth of the hair i lost at this time. in any

ť ť knowing my hair isnt falling out and that i dont have big zits on my

ť ť really gives me the confidence of being a woman again. (also my boobs
ť are
ť ť fuller which is great.)

ť ť one last thing, i finally found a new doctor who believes i have PCOS

ť ť is testing me for it on the 21st day of my cycle. this also means i will

ť ť stopping all hormonal pills for 21 days. if i do indeed have PCOS
ť (which
ť ť i'm sure i do), then I will begin a therapy much like Jen's as i'm sure
ť you
ť ť have read in other posts. however, my therapy will also incorporate
ť ť bioidentical hormones. i will be sure to let you know what happens.

ť ť though i have success in ending the acne and hairloss, i want regrowth
ť and
ť ť i want to be the best i can be hormonally, hence why i am taking
ť further
ť ť steps.

You really don't need to have a period if the pills have estrogen and progesterone. You can have a period once or twice a year.
