ť I'm so sick of this. I am in my fourth year of TE. I've increased my iron,
ť had my thyroid checked, seen seven (count 'em....SEVEN) derms to no avail.
ť According to everyone, it's either stress or a temporary state. Well, I
ť continue to lose at least 200 hairs a day, from the root (I can see the
ť white bulb), my hair is like cotton candy; no weight at all and even my
ť hairdresser is flabergasted since she said NO ONE loses as much hair as I
ť do when she washes it. Has anyone else had TE for this long? I don't even
ť have a dx of TE. Every doc just blows me off. Unless I am bald or close to
ť it, they just don't want to hear about hair loss!!! It looks OK, thank
ť goodness, but it is obviously thinner and my family has noticed as well.
ť Why do docs think we are crazy if we want to know why our hair is falling
ť out!!!!!!! So depressed.

4 years for me too! I sometimes wonder if I am losing my sanity as family, friends and "experts" say my hair is fine and dont know why I'm worried. Continual shed like you, and I know my hair is much, much thinner than it used to me. The evidence is in the bath, all over the floor, and anywhere else you care to think of. Cant think of anyone on either side of my family (alive or deceased) who has/had baldness. I'm getting new blood tests done soon to see how ferritin is doing (previouly very low) From all I've read/been told, I still think I have CTE. There is lots of info on the web about this. Can go on for years, but there seems to be no info on HOW it stops. Suddenly or gradually? Does hair eventually return to normal(ish) or just stay awful? I'm really trying to stay positive as I know there is no quick fix for this (I'm trying to eat properly and not worry) if, indeed, there is an answer, but I have days when I just feel so desperate and so scared and depressed, I could run away.
