Hi Chris....I wish I could wear my hair up. It is so thin, I can't keep a clip or a band in it! I have to wear it down and I dread even a little puff of wind because you can see through my hair when it blows. It's so frustrating! As it grows ever thinner, I keep thinking if it will just stop shedding, I'll deal with the level of 'thin' it is now. But, I shed like a dog; I am afraid to count anymore. I just know that if I run my hand through my hair right now, I can get at least 5 or 6 hairs with roots on them, with one pass. If I run my hand through it again...same thing. I'm so stressed by it that as I watch TV, I am running my hand through my hair and putting the hair into a kleenex to throw it away. I agree. Sometimes I don't know how much more of this I can take. As for wigs to swim in, I took my heart in my hands and went to a wig salon one day just to see if I could deal with the idea of wearing one. I cried all the way there and all the way home. I don't want to get one. But, there is one called Amy's Presence and you can swim in it. If I HAVE to get one, I may consider that. But, save up the $ because those particular wigs are really expensive. However, if you have to wear one, it IS your appearance, so its worth getting a good one.
