lol I wont kill you! but i'd like to tell Dr Fenton and Rushton how they've messed me around for 4 years and come up with jack all to explain why ive lost 60% of my hair density. How can this be

Chris, all my hormone levels are fine except:

1. High prolactin for a period last year - Dr Fenton and Dr Hurel (endo) dismissed it.

2. Thyroid antibodies elevated - Dr Fenton, Dr Hurel and 3rd opinion from Dr Chapman - all dismissed it.

I am going through BUPA for everything and 9 times out of 10 i am paying hundreds in fees cos i am the basic membership which doesnt cover everything. I am clutching at straws going for 2nd/3rd opinions with F all joy. I am frustrated to the MAX.

I have been told by Dr Fenton that physically my hair loss shows that of a woman in menopause, but my hormones (sex ones) are all within range and fine.

I must be that one odd stupid case where bad luck continues and F all works. Yes my mother has thin hair (mines almost the same as hers) but she's post menopause, in her 60's and has had 5 children....and it wasnt always so thin but super thick even after the first 3 kids from photos i've seen. My father has typical MPB.

Whose gonna help me in the medical profession when ive supposedly been to the blasted "experts" on hair loss in London.

ť could be that your estrogen is low and this is causing your hl. Have you
ť had these tests done yet?

ť FSH (follicle stimulating hormone)
ť estradiol
ť Testosterone Free
ť TSH (thyroid)
ť LH (leutinizing hormone)
ť
ť I'm sure you have but if it's truly menoapusal hl, then I would suspect
ť low estrogen and therefore, don't kill me, but bcp might help.
