quit Diane 35, losing lots of hair... help! (Birth Control Pills & Hair Loss)

I'm new to the forum. I've been reading articles and postings by people here and there and I'm not sure what I should believe, but what I'm reading is making me more depressed than I already was!

I was on Diane 35 for some 4 years for skin problems, and I decided to quit about 4-5 months ago (can't remember exactly). For about two weeks or so I've been experiencing severe hair loss, must be 200 hairs a day at least! I've always had healthy, abundant and thick hair, all my life; it got even better while on Diane. I've never lost hair like this before and I'm scared.

I might add that I had a severe case of flu about 3 months ago, and I've read that this can cause hair loss as well.

I'm very worried. Will it go back to normal by itself? This is making me very depressed and anxious. Please help Thank you.
