accutane and spiro (Accutane or Medications Induced Hair Loss)
Accutane causes hair loss due to telogen effluvium.
Spiro prevents hair loss due to androgen excess.
Only minoxidil has been used to treat hair loss due to TE.
TE hair loss will continue as long as the trigger factor is there ( accutane in your case).
You need to stop accutane and look for other options to treat your acne.
» » just wondering if taking accutane and spiro at the same time is a huge
» no
» » no. i'm a 26yo female with acne and in the past 5-6 years i've been

» i

» » i've been taking 100mg spiro for about 6 months and my hair loss has
» » reduced a lot. i was also put on 200mg doxycycline recently by my derm,
» » which i think is interfering with the spiro because i'm noticing more

» » fall. my derm won't prescribe spiro and wants me to consider accutane
» but
» » i'm afraid of more hair loss. i can't afford to lose much more hair but
» my

» » spiro? i'd love to get some feedback.
