Spiro -Questions anyone? hairsite pls? (Spironolactone, Aldactone)

I've probably spelt that wrong, but ladies, i am getting desperate in my hair battle as my hair is now paper thin and my extension "connection points" are showing through as i have F all hair left to cover them.

My questions are:

1. Is Spiro a synthetic hormone? is it like the BCP?

2. Will spiro mess with my estrogen/progesterone produced naturally? will it shut them down like the BCP does?

3. is there a limit one can be on spiro and then come off it? toleration levels?

4. When coming off spiro - is there a downward spiral like with the BCP?

5. Finally - anyone had success or side effects from spiro?

I'm trying to do my research on this drug as it seems it might be my last chance before i go bald (no joke).
