ť Hi Deliliah, I read a post of yours from the other day on HA in which you
ť talked about the patch and estrogel and prometrium. Now I will make that
ť appointment with Redmond. I have been screwing around with compounded
ť hormones for a couple of years, trying different compounders, and my levels
ť are still "off." Right now my estrogen is out of whack vis a vis my
ť progesterone levels and he's had me reduce the estrogen a bit during the
ť month and then by 1/2 the last 4 days of the month. I didn't know that
ť there was a standardized bio patch or gel (i use a compounded gel) nor did
ť I know that there was a standardized bio progesterone. Perhaps I would get
ť better results with those products.

Thanks Lisa that's very sweet of you to say that. I really do feel that if you're using bio-identical hormones that you should try either Estrogel or Vivelle Dot. The dosage is consistent and accurate, same is true for the Prometrium. I think the compounding pharmacies are all over the lot in terms of consistency. I don't understand your doctor's rationale with your estrogen dosage but I know it's the fluctuations in estrogen that cause hair problems.

It's JMO but if you're on bio-identicals it's definitely worth a trip to Dr. Redmond bc he has a lot of knowledge and experience working with them with regard to HL.
