You know what I take. I cant remember you age and exact issues, sorry. I'm travelling that wonderful road of going thru menopause and then the hair started falling. I'm 50, take vivelle dot all month and add the prometrium days 1-12 while using the vivelle. I am also on spiro 200mg and finasteride(5mg)I have not had a natural period since Jan. 15 this year. It came in between the periods that are regulated by the prometrium. My hair is growing in. I shed about 20ish a day now with wash and as opposed to the 200 it was in January, Im happy. My hair has filled in a bit although pictures dont do justice. however, I know my hair will never be of the thickness it was last June but I can be happy with it. It also changed color when falling out and regrowing so I went from natural blonde at 49 to immediate brown. Looks different to me but I wouldnt dare highlight it or anything else right now after the past year of HELL like we've all gone thru. I will be going the gyno and also getting another pelvic ultrasound this summer to see how my fibroids are etc. Im sure she will pitch a fit when she sees what Im on but I look at it like this.. I know the risks but truly I had no other choice but to add the HRT. T Maybe the fibroids have grown some with the Estrogen, I dont know. I have no extra bleeding and they've never been a problem as long as Ive had them. What Im saying is at this point, although I may hate it later if I get any cancerous growths, I would not have made any other decision than to take this HRT. I was too miserable with my hair coming out and life basically was horrible. I couldnt see it ever getting better. As I look back now I thank GOD that I didnt give up because I truly thought I would lose all of it. Ive never felt that low in my life. Maybe I dont have the personality to be a bigger person or I need to grow up more, I dont know. I thank God everyday that I took Delilah's advice as early as I did and went to Dr. Redmond. He may not help everyone but his treatment did help me. It could change tomorrow but I will never regret going and trying everything I could. This hair loss is absolutely devastating as we all know. Its hard to make decisions on what to take as well as very scary too. Girl you take whatever you have to in order to get your hair fall to stop. It has to stabilize before it can grow in at all and that takes time after the meds. I would not cycle anything. If you take anything and then stop for a week I doubt it would help you at all. Im no doctor but it needs to be continuous in order for you body to get straightened out. Especially if you are in peri.Good luck. I wish I could help you more. I know how I felt this time last year and it sucks. I hope for the best for your hair. Hang in there.
