» Delilah,
» How is everything going for you? Are you not shedding and have you see
» some hair come back? Are you happy with how things are going for you?
»
» Do you think I should be doing more besides Yasmin and Rogaine? The
» thought of starting any other meds and having a dread shed from it is more
» than I can bear right now, but what do you think?

I don't know much about HL in peri other than what Dr Redmond has told me. What he said is that the fluctuation in estrogen is what does the damage to the hair in peri. So in answer to your question I really don't know if you should be doing more since mauri is on fina, spiro, vivelle and prometrium. I'm just on the estrogen/prometrium. I think it all depends on what your blood work shows if you need anymore than just yasmin and rogaine.

In my case I only needed what I'm on bc I didn't have any elevation in testosterone and never had in my life.

As far as my hair is concerned in general I've been happy with it. I have some ups and downs mostly bc of timing, sports and application problems but when I get that all straight the meds work. I just have to be very careful to keep everything constant. That's basically bc I elected to use estrogel which is more difficult to adjust to than the patch. It means that I have to use it at the same time every day on my arms which leads to some problems for me with sunscreen, moisturizer etc.

I don't know where you live but make sure you go to a doctor who can handle your problem. If I let the doctors I went to first handle mine I would be minus a lot of hair now. In peri you have a chance to right your problem bc you know it's hormonal and there's a way to fix it.

Not sure if you'll need the rogaine once the hormones are straightened out but since you started it makes sense to keep it going.
