About dht (Androgenetic Alopcia (AGA) Female Pattern)

posted by skinnyhair, 05.09.2008, 10:18

I have read a little about dht and its effect on hair. What is your oppinion about it, does it really give women hair loss as well?

Some say, it it not really a cause for female hairloss, and if it is, the female should have other symptoms as well, such as deepend voice, bigger muscles, facial hair and so on.

What's the deal here?

I did read however, that a read scalp is a sign of inflammation, that can occur when dht is destroing the follicels. (I have red, sore scalp)
Can red scalp also be a sign of TE?

Ok, this is so confusing all of this. Why in the world haven't they come up with a 100% cure against hair loss, now when they have all this knowledge?? Do I really have to become a scientist myself, just to get it done? :) It seems so close, like the answer is just around the corner.
