ť ť Well, after reading here, I am scared to death of bc's now! Seems like
ť everyone is loosing their hair thanks to them, regardless of their hormonal
ť make up. I just don't get it! I think there must be more than meets the
ť eye when it comes to androgenic properties and hairloss in women.

ť One question though, any thoughts of why I seem to lose hair quitting
ť Desogen, shouldn't the withdrawal of any weird progesterones be a good
ť thing? Or is it just the big fluctuation in hormones that makes the hair
ť shed? Or could it be from my surgery I had 3 months prior? It was over 2
ť hrs long and I was fully sedated.

You only read the horror stories on hair loss forums, there has been plenty of people that have done well on Bcp for their hair loss, they just never come back and post. Only a very few do. I have been on the pcos board and read plenty of women that take them and have no problems. My endo just told me to go on a non-androgenetic progesterone bcp to lower my testosterone level. Mine is at 75 and norm should be around 30-35.
The surgery could have very well caused your te that you are going through. Surgery and anestesia put huge amounts of stress on your body. I would give the pill another try, just find a different one. My endo suggested yasmin, but yasmin has spiro in it and I had weird side effects on just the 25mg, so thats a no. My thought is to try ovcon 35. It's low on androgens and high on estradiol.

ť ť I was reading up on it and it does have a high progesterone in it.
ť ť Sometimes certain progesterones can make the testosterone even highter.
